Quick Word from Pastor Rob
Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still and know that I am God”. When overwhelming trouble invades our lives God wants us to be still. He wants us to release our anxiety and rest in Him. Matthew 11:28 – 29 says, “Come to me all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest”. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls”. Remember, God’s purpose in all things is to be glorified. My job and yours is to be patient and find His grace sufficient for every day.
That should not be a hard concept to embrace in today’s world. Our whole country has stopped doing business as usual. Of course all of the essential jobs are still functioning but for most of us we are experiencing a level of solitude unlike anything we have faced before. We are voluntarily staying away from the people we love, and the workplace has been turned upside down. It is in this environment that God reminds us: “Be still and know that I am God”.
I do not know what tomorrow holds but I know who holds tomorrow!
