Quick Word from Pastor Rob
Heart health is huge! We should do everything possible to keep our heart functioning the way it was intended. By doing so we will go a long way toward improving our life and making it last. We all know that. But do we as readily know and think about the heart on a spiritual level? Proverbs 4:23 tells us: “Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it spring the issues of life”. Here are four things you can do to keep your heart healthy.
Don’t be deceitful. This would include things such as lying, distorting truth, exaggerating accounts, and covering up. There is an old saying: “What’s down in the well comes up in the bucket”. Whatever is in abundance in your hear has a way of coming out of your mouth.
Stay focused. Our dedication and commitment to Christ should take precedence over all other things. It’s easy to get distracted and fall away but if we remind ourselves of what is not negotiable it will help us to stay the course.
Keep a balance. I have said many times that “balance” is the greatest thing that I have learned as a Christian. It is easy to live in extremes. Often they are the most comfortable. It is where a lot of people live. Balance is something that I do not always accomplish but I know how important it is and it is always my goal.
Do what is right. Does anything else need to be said?
