The Beginning
Plainedge Church was established in 1953 and has been ministering in the Bethpage community ever since. Many people have found the forgiveness, hope, and purpose that comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Now more than ever before we have a desire to shine the light of hope to the entire world beginning here in Bethpage. There is a place for you at Plainedge!
Senior Pastor
Rob Thorne
Rob Thorne is from Indianapolis, Indiana and is a graduate of both Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia. He began his ministry on Long Island in 1978 and he and his wife Catherine are now in their 43rd year of ministry serving the Lord. Rob’s favorite sport is golf and he and Catherine enjoy travelling, especially out west. They are also proud parents of three grown children, Sommer, Eric, and Austin.

Youth Pastor
John Roselle
Truth Student Ministries and LIFE Young Adult Ministries are both led by John Roselle. John graduated from Liberty’s Graduate School of Divinity in May of 2016 with his Masters of Divinity and has been serving at Plainedge ever since. He is blessed with his beautiful wife Johanna, who teaches 6th grade and is also actively involved in leading the young women of TSM and LIFE, as well as his son, John Mark III.
